The J.Lindeberg Event: Runway Story
With the capital’s iconic City Library as the guiding inspiration, J.Lindeberg unveiled its men’s and women’s collections for Autumn/Winter 2013 in an exclusive and intimate show during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm. Like the library itself, this season’s collection embodied both modern and traditional elegance, fusing old and new with a strong Scandinavian inflfluence.
Traditional tailoring and modern details were on full display January 30 in J.Lindeberg’s bright and airy headquarters. Sculptured tailoring and slightly oversized silhouettes were reminiscent of the library’s exterior, while the patterns, rich hues and metallic detailing were drawn from the library’s gracefully aging interior.
The response to the collection from Swedish and international press was that of resounding approval, with critics hailing the “sophisticated” women’s separates and the “ridiculously on-point” menswear collection.
